YOUR SAFETY HAS BEEN PLANNED FOR
Safety doesn't start when something goes wrong. It starts long before you arrive. Here's what's already been done on your behalf:
A certified Athletic Trainer is here for you.
Every Athletic Trainer at a PSM Certified event is board-certified, state-licensed, fully insured, and vetted by Premier Sports Medicine. They’re not just qualified. They’re prepared, professional, and ready to help with anything from taping an ankle to managing an emergency.
An Emergency Action Plan is in place.
PSM worked with (and independent of) the organization to develop a facility-specific Emergency Action Plan tailored to the location. That includes mapped-out field coverage, established communication protocols, and a clear chain of command if EMS needs to be called.
The right equipment is on-site.
AED locations (if available) have been confirmed. Athletic Trainers have confirmed their medical supplies are stocked. Carts and radios are positioned and tested with the organization. If something happens, the response will be fast and organized.
Weather is being monitored.
PSM provides pre-event and real-time weather monitoring so that decisions about lightning, heat, and cold-related risks are made proactively, not reactively.
Medical documentation is handled.
Injury reporting follows HIPAA-compliant protocols. If your child or athlete has been evaluated by an Athletic Trainer, the encounter is documented professionally and shared appropriately.
